Wire Harness Fabricator

The Wire Harness Fabricator is responsible for the precise fabrication, routing, and testing of aircraft wire harnesses based on engineering drawings and build-to-print documentation. This role is performed entirely off the aircraft, in a controlled workbench or production area, ensuring harnesses meet quality standards prior to installation.

Shift Work – Afternoon Schedule – 3:30 pm to 12:00 am 

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness layout drawings, and work instructions.
  • Cut, strip, terminate, and crimp wires and cables according to building documentation and engineering standards.
  • Route and bundle wire harnesses using lacing cord, tie wraps, and sleeves as specified.
  • Required to fabricate, assemble or perform operations as assigned to produce electronic and electrical details.
  • Install and secure connectors, back shells, contacts, splices, and other related hardware
  • Perform continuity and insulation resistance checks using multimeters and other basic test equipment.
  • Identify and document any non-conformances or discrepancies and escalate issues to quality or engineering as required.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the fabrication work area.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and compliance procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings, continuous improvement activities, and cross-training as necessary.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in electrical assembly or wire harness fabrication preferred
  • Aerospace or aviation experience considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, and soldering irons.
  • Comfortable working in a seated or standing position for extended periods.
  • Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
